A lot has been said and written on tips and tricks on how to lose belly fat fast. Sadly, many of these information are borne out of fads that do not actually help you out with your health and weight loss goals.
Losing weight involves some form of lifestyle change that you need to implement in order to see the desired results.
Limiting and managing the amount of calorie you consume on a daily basis is one of the best way to lose weight, fast! This is one of the most effective ways to reduce weight and belly fat but this can also be the hardest for many to implement for the main reason that it’s hard to track them and that calories are almost always present in all the food that we eat.
However, the basic principle is simple: you should burn more calories than you eat in order to lose weight. If you are getting more calories than you burn, that excess calorie will lead to weight gain so you should reverse that trend and you will lose weight.
While losing weight, you should not forego all of your favorite food altogether, even though they seem to be bad for you. You should still eat them in moderation so that you won’t sink into a deep craving that may lead you to stop your diet altogether. If your diet doesn’t give you pleasure by letting you eat your favorite food, you are less likely to stick to it, right? So treat yourself to some “cheating” and it will help you keep in line with your long-term diet. Maybe do the proper diet on the weekdays, and then give yourself some treats on the weekend or you can mix it up as long as you don’t go overboard. Remember, moderation is the key.
It is a common concept that weight loss and flat abs are achieved 80% in the kitchen and 20% in the gym. Having said this, you should ensure that you are following a fitness and exercise schedule in addition to a good diet. You need to plan your fitness activities and make sure that you follow it religiously and force yourself if you have to. It may be hard at first but if you manage to do this consistently for at least three weeks, you will develop a habit and it will be easier in the long run. Your exercise should be a combination of cardio and muscle resistance – the former to burn calories and improve endurance while the latter is to build muscle, increase metabolism and increase your body’s fat burning mechanism.
Eating breakfast has a lot of health benefits and one of the most important is that it regulates your metabolism. By eating breakfast, you start your metabolism for the day in the right footing and you avoid fluctuations in your appetite thus letting you follow a regular schedule of meals and you avoid binge eating at unusual hours of the day. There was a study that showed that people who ate breakfast lost an average of 18 pounds in the span of 3 months compared to people who consumed the same number of calories per day but didn’t eat breakfast and instead got most of their calories from dinner time. The latter group only lost an average of 7 pounds over the 3-month period.
The four lifestyle changes above might be difficult to follow at the beginning but you have to give them a chance if you are really serious about losing weight and losing your belly fat. It may be difficult at first but once you start seeing the positive results, it will get easier in the long run so make sure that you follow through and persevere and you will be rewarded at the end.
